One of the unfortunate things about home made soap is the scum it sometimes leaves. Rather than go back to the chemical-laden “bath bars” that really aren’t soap at all, how about just spraying your shower once a week with a soap scum buster?
You may have seen this recipe around. I’ve been using it for some time and it REALLY DOES work! It’s fairly quick, which is nice.
1 Spray bottle
Dawn (yes, the blue dish detergent)
Fill the bottle 1/2 way with vinegar, then the other 1/2 with the Dawn. Some say they need to heat that vinegar up to get it to mix with the Dawn, but I’ve never had the problem.
The Dawn lets the vinegar cling to the soap scum longer and together, they break it down. I get my shower clean, then spritz this on once a week (no, I don’t always scrub) and let it sit for a while. Nifty.
